Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Postdoc募集

I am an Assistant Professor in the department of Physiology and Center for Metabolism and Obesity Research at Johns Hopkins University. We have recently discovered and characterized a novel family of secreted hormones, many of which are produced by the adipose tissue. These circulating adipokines (which we designated as CTRP1 to CTRP10) regulate multiple aspects of whole body insulin sensitivity, and glucose and lipid metabolism. We have recently generated transgenic and knockout mouse models to address the physiological functions and mechanisms of action of this novel family of adipokine, especially in the context of understanding type 2 diabetes and obesity. Molecular, cellular, and other in vitro approaches will also be used to complement our in vivo studies. We would like to recruit enthusiastic postdoctoral fellow (preferably has his/her own funding) who are interested to join the lab. Feel free to contact me for additional questions or send me your CV if you are intere!
