Cornell University Postdoc募集

A NIH-funded post-doctoral position is available for conducting research in the area of functional genomics of Clostridium difficile. C. difficile is a gram positive spore forming anaerobic bacterium belonging to Group II re-emerging pathogens. This project is to provide transcriptome and proteome sequence data for various C. difficle strains, verify and complement the genome sequence annotations of available sequenced strains, provide insights into the role of core, divergent and strain specific genes in C. difficile pathogenesis. Techniques such as RNA isolation, enrichment of mRNA, cDNA fragment library construction for sequencing, gene knockout, genome & pathway annotation, phenotype array, and bioinformatics are needed. A recent Ph.D graduate with background in microbiology & bioinformatics is encouraged to apply. Please send CV and brief description of research experience and publication list to Dr. Yung-Fu Chang, College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY 14853. E-mail: yc42@cornell.edu, Fax: 607-253-3943, Telephone: 607-253-3675.
