Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University Postdoctral Position

The Cardiovascular Research Center is seeking a post-doctoral fellow to assist in developing works at the cutting-edge of gene regulatory networks in normal and disease states, investigating cell signaling and immune regulatory response. The project specifically focus on understanding the role of inflammation on cardiac repair and heart failure. The successful candidate is expected to apply biochemical and molecular biology techniques (molecular cloning, qRT-PCR, CHIP/RNA-seq, gene editing, protein purification, protein complexes reconstitution in vitro) and FACS analysis to conduct the research on immune regulation of cardiac repair. Qualified applicants must have a PhD or MD/PhD degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in cardiovascular biology and/or immunology. The specific project will be discussed with the candidate during the interview.
Candidate should be highly motivated with an ability to think creatively and independently. Candidate should demonstrate good organizational skills and be able to work within a collaborative team environment.
