Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute and University of Toronto Postdoctral Position

The Ramalho-Santos lab at UCSF will move to the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI) at the University of Toronto in 2018, and is recruiting postdoctoral fellows effective immediately.
• Dr. Ramalho-Santos will be the Canada 150 Research Chair in Developmental Epigenetics and lead an exciting new initiative in this area in Toronto.
• The LTRI is the top biomedical research institute in Canada: http://www.lunenfeld.ca/
• The LTRI has major strengths in Systems Biology and Developmental and Stem Cell Biology.
• The lab will be supported by stellar core facilities for sequencing, proteomics, imaging, flow cytometry, metabolomics: http://research.lunenfeld.ca/invivo/?page=Technology%20Platforms
• The LTRI has one of the best academic mouse facility in North America http://www.phenogenomics.ca/
• The University of Toronto is one of the top 20 universities in the world. In one single campus in downtown Toronto there is arguably the highest concentration of top biomedical research in North America.
• Very interactive/collaborative community.

Toronto is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, diverse, liberal and safe city: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto
• Excellent quality of life: https://www.economist.com/blogs/graphicdetail/2017/08/daily-chart-10
• Great cultural offer, professional sports, restaurants, parks, schools and public transit. Low crime.

• Large city with many opportunities for spouses/partners in academic labs, hospitals, biotech, pharma, etc.

Scientific Areas of Interest
• Preference will be giving to candidates with a strong published record in several of these areas:
Developmental Biology, Fertilization, Pre-Implantation Development, Pluripotency, Germline Development, Embryonic and Adult Stem Cell Biology, DNA Methylation, Chromatin Biology, Non-Coding RNAs, Epigenomics, Transgenerational Epigenetic Inheritance, Functional Genomics, Genome Editing, Transposon Biology, Nuclear Dynamics, Bioinformatics
• Qualified candidates should send a CV, cover letter detailing research experience and how their interests fit with the broad field of Developmental Epigenetics, and the names of 3 references to: mrsantos@ucsf.edu
